Screen Festival and Loop Fair: Perejaume

From the 16th May, 2013

In the artpiece Màquina d'alè (Breath machine), Perejaume raises questions about authorship, which is questioned with the help of sensory and poetic elements which the artist uses to establish dialogue with the landscape expressing the sense of representation.

"On the one hand, I think of the four zephyrs on Girona's tapestry of the Creation sitting astride wind bags and blowing through two horns, one in each hand. And I also think of the diver from the christmas carol by J.V Foix – with pure air in his diving cylinder – who dives into the ocean to take a gift from the deepest depths of the sea" (Perejaume).

The Francisco Godia Foundation collection

The Francisco Godia Foundation was set up in 1998 and looks after the legacy of the businessman and collector Francisco Godia Sales. It specialises in medieval art, ceramics, Modernist drawing and painting, and 20th century art. The permanent collection takes visitors on a tour through the history of art based on the collector's taste and sensitivity. The temporary exhibitions highlight the importance of private collectors in recovering our cultural heritage. The collection grows each year with new items that complete it and open it up to the 21st century.
